A photography portrait sitting can be a daunting experience for many. That's why Jetty Blue has a flexible approach to portrait sittings. Whatever you have in mind, be it a family portrait, maternity or baby portrait, individual portrait or even a portrait of the furry members of the family, JettyBlue will make your portrait sitting an event to remember.
Samantha's goal is to create gallery style artwork pieces to fit in with any art collection or home décor. We have a selection of mediums available including photographic papers, canvas, archival watercolour papers and exquisite handmade albums, each one being a true original artwork.

Before the Shoot

Our complimentary studio consultation (approx. 30mins), held at our studio, gives you the opportunity to show us the kind of images you'd love to see on your wall. This way we get to know each other and we can be sure to create the kind of images you want so you will treasure your artworks always.
On the day - What to bring
Please bring 1-2 changes of clothing for everybody - this is in case clothes get dirty, or as an alternative that the photographer can advise on the day.
This is an opportunity to dress your children to look as cute and beautiful as they can, or you are welcome to choose a simple casual look. Some people like to take the opportunity to do both.
Try to avoid patterns/logos & stripes or bright colours - so your clothes don't attract more attention than your faces and your photos don't date over time.
White or black is fine if all participants are in the same with a combination of denim or beige. For large family groups where there are a number of groups within the group, a nice idea is for each family unit to wear a uniform colour on top and then a different uniform colour worn on the bottom that unites the entire group.
Hats, necklaces, scarves and accessories (including pets!) can look fantastic in photos, so please feel free to bring these along with you.
Please also bring a snack for children, drink and one or two of your children's favourite toys (preferably noisy ones - something that will get their attention quickly). For very small children, a favourite grandparent can be invaluable when it comes to getting those special smiles and helping gain baby's attention when mum and dad are in the shot also.
What if I think I don't look good in photos?
Don't worry, we all have THOSE moments! Samantha's talent lies in her down to earth approach - making even the most camera shy adult or child comfortable in front of the camera. Samantha's warmth puts her clients at ease, leaving them free to relax and enjoy the experience. After all, it's not something you do every day and the shoot itself should be a special occasion.
